El paso del tiempo parece haber afectado en algún grado a los Black Eyed Peas. Si hacemos una remembranza de sus discos o de su música en general, podríamos decir que empezaron con una energía desbordante y una creatividad que se plasmaron en videos novedosos y dinámicos. En su nuevo álbum, sin embargo, las cosas han cambiado un poco y para bien. I gotta feelin’ pretende derrochar energía, y a pesar que tiene una letra que se presta para una situación pícara, los arreglos musicales terminan dándole espacio a la nostalgia, haciendo que -a pesar de las reconocibles voces- el tema suene como si perteneciera a otro tiempo. Quizás las siglas que le dan nombre al disco no son tan premonitorias, pero I gotta fellin’ se deja escuchar con una gran sonrisa.
