“4 minutes” es el primer single con el que se lanzó a la misma vez el nuevo álbum de “Madonna” Hard Candy. En esta canción, (4 Minutes) Madonna canta a dueto con Justin Timberlake. La canción fue escrita por Madonna, Timothy Mosley y Justin Timberlake, fue producida por Madonna y Timbaland.En el videoclip de este video, aparecen Madonna, Timberlake y Timbaland. Madonna y Timberlake correrán esquivando obstáculos, como un tipo de superhéroes, también se menciona que habrá escenas relacionadas con el boxeo.
La coreografía está acargo de de Jamie King, que trabajó en las ultimas giras musicales de la artista. El video se filmó a principios del mes de febrero en Londres, Reino Unido.
