«Kate Nash» es hija de padre inglés y madre irlandesa. Nacida en Dublín. Ya desde muy joven se interesaría por la música y el pop.
«Regina Spektor» comenzó siendo la gran influencia de «Kate Nash» y a la que se añade una larga lista de influencias incluídas en su página de MySpace. Algunas de ellas son «London, música punk, Bored Teenagers y John Cooper Clarke». su tema «Foundations» de su disco «Made of Bricks» alcanzó el primer puesto en los charts británicos y actualemente esta en las preferidas del MTV latino.
